چکیده
In water- and wastewater-treatment processes, knowledge of sludge settlement behavior is a key requirement for proper design continuous clarifier or thickener. One the most robust practical tests to acquire information about rate sedimentation through execution batch settling tests. lieu conducting series various initial concentrations, it promising advantageous develop simple predictive models estimate wide range operating conditions. These mathematical model(s) also enhance accuracy outputs by eliminating measurement errors originated from graphical methods visual observations. present study, two empirical were proposed based on Vandermonde matrix (VM) characteristics as well Levenberg–Marquardt (LM) algorithm predict temporal height supernatant–sludge interface. The novelty our modeling approach twofold: in this study are more simpler compared other literature, concentration was considered independent variable addition more-customarily used time. prediction performance VM-based model better than LM-based considering statistical parameters associated with fitting experimental data including coefficient determination (R2), root mean square error (RMSE), absolute percentage (MAPE). values R2, RMSE, MAPE VM- obtained at 0.997, 0.132, 5.413% 0.969, 0.107, 6.433%, respectively. will be useful pilot- industrial-scale applications water treatment, when not feasible, time limited, adequate laboratory infrastructure available.

Network Emulation Tools for Modeling Grid Behavior
There is increasing interest in Grids that use compute, storage, and network resources in configurations involving both flexible sharing and tight-coupling. Such usage produces complex dynamics, subject to complex non-linear behavior. We believe that detailed packet level simulation is both possible and necessary forhigh fidelity grid simulations. We present the MicroGrid, a tool set which allo...
متن کاملA data mining approach to forecast behavior
This study presents a data mining analysis of customer forecasting patterns of multiple customers (auto manufacturers) from a large auto parts supplier. We consider a manufacturing environment in which forecasts of future orders are used as inputs for a series of decisions. We define the complexities that are captured from our data set, developing the daily flow analysis to obtain accuracy rati...
متن کاملA modified oxic-settling-anaerobic activated sludge process using gravity thickening for excess sludge reduction
Oxic-settling-anaerobic process (OSA) was known as a cost-effective way to reduce the excess sludge production with simple upgrade of conventional activated sludge process (CAS). A low oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) level was the key factor to sludge decay and lysis in the sludge holding tank of the OSA process. However, the ORP control with nitrogen purge or chemical dosing in the OSA pro...

During the last couple of decades, feature modeling tools have played a significant role in the improvement of software productivity and quality by assisting tasks in software product line (SPL). SPL decomposes a large-scale software system in terms of their functionalities. The goal of the decomposition is to create well-structured individual software systems that can meet different users’ req...
